In our update we talked about all the great home grown fruit that can be found on every corner....well we have a mystery fruit and no one can tell us what it is- -we haven't cut it open yet, but will soon! We'll let you know....
On another note..... Yesterday we went on top of the main mountian in town (Vodno) and of course there was an Orthodox church- -they are everywhere and I realized that I have never really gone into detail about the Orthodox church and what the main differences are. All of these things are also barriers to the Gospel, so please pray with us that these would be torn down and that Truth would replace all the lies:1. Church traditions hold higher authority than God's Word.
2. Prayer is made through the saints (Icons) and not directly to Jesus.
3. The Bible is not to be read or understood- -only priests read it.
4. God is far off- there is no thought of personal relationship. Works, not faith based.
5. The name "Christian" is connected not to faith, but to ethnicity.
There is no perceived need to make a decision to believe and follow Christ.
